Wedding First Dance Playlist
DJ Alpha's Enchanting First Dance Wedding Playlist:
Your first dance is the one moment of the night where the room goes quiet, the lights come down, and it's just the two of you. Pick the right song and that two to three minutes becomes the part of the day you keep replaying for years.
I've played hundreds of first dances across Sarasota, Siesta Key, and Lakewood Ranch, and the songs below are the ones couples actually keep choosing. I've kept the timeless ballads that never miss and added a few of the tracks dominating 2026 weddings right now, so you've got a mix of classic and current to work from.
Modern favorites couples are picking in 2026
"Until I Found You" – Stephen Sanchez
"Die With a Smile" – Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars

A few things worth knowing before you decide
You don't have to use the full song. Most couples land on a two to two-and-a-half minute edit. A full four-minute track can start to feel long once you're out there in front of everyone. I'll cut a clean edit for you at no extra charge so the moment ends right where you want it to.
Read the lyrics all the way through. A song can sound romantic and still have a verse about heartbreak or leaving buried in the middle. Worth a full listen before you commit.
If you love a fast song, look for the acoustic version. A stripped or acoustic cover of an upbeat track gives you a song you actually love at a tempo you can sway to. That's how "Latch" ended up on this list.
You don't need a choreographed routine. A natural slow dance looks just as good in photos as a rehearsed one. Do whatever feels like you.
Your song isn't here? That's fine. This is a starting point, not a menu. If your first dance is something obscure or personal, I'll track it down and have it ready.
What's included
Every booking comes with a full PA system tuned for the room, wireless mics, and dance floor lighting. Fog and laser effects are available if you want them, skippable if you don't. For the first dance specifically, I'll coordinate the song edit, the timing, and the lighting cue with your photographer and planner ahead of time so nobody's guessing in the moment.
Let's plan your first dance
Tell me your venue, your date, and the song you're leaning toward, and I'll help you build the moment around it. Serving Sarasota, Siesta Key, and the surrounding area.
